Product Description
Here are some points to consider –
The two (2) rigs have great potential, both were built within the last 5 years at a cost of over $40M USD each.
One rig was tested and lightly used for R&D and has 10,357 operating hours, it was laid down in 2020.
The other sister rig has never operated, it is a zero-hour rig.
Like the Maverick Rig, both rigs are 2200HP; they were R&D (research and development) projects. They were successful; however, they were over complicated and added too many failure points and required constant technical support to operate in their present configurations.
Below is our associate’s initial synopsis of how we could accommodate your company with these rigs –
Engineer and construct new racking board in a more conventional style
Engineer and build setback for drill floor and perform setback reinforcements to sub structure
Engineer new sub toes to accommodate the stompers after removing the current pipe racker combo system.
Build new mouse hole
Replace engine packages on both rigs, (4) Four 3512C Cats with Kato 1365 Generators
Remove complicated Cameron power catwalk and replace with Canrig PC3000 or Forum unit (still automated, just more common and easier to maintenance and obtain support for)
Rig up both rigs and install NOV Amphion/Cyber base programming and operating system.
Service all rig components from sitting, replace seals and refresh as required
Full commissioning and acceptance test
We could modify and update these two rigs to be a pair of super spec sister rigs that are not as "technologically advanced" yet are able to move efficiently and operate on a higher level than an NOV Ideal rig would.
These rigs could be refitted in Texas so it would be an easy transition to start working on it immediately. Given the modifications and programming / commissioning process, we would plan on a 90-day lead time for both rigs. However, we could potentially deliver much earlier.
Estimated cost is US$ 15M for each rig including all modifications, critical spare parts, rig down, and location support/training after delivery/acceptance.
You're welcome to come tour our facility and view the rigs any time, we are actively working on a 2200HP rig to go to South America. We have capacity to deliver these by end of Q1/ Beginning Q2.
